Description
Unexplained anxiety, mood swings, poor stress tolerance or brain fog are often put down to emotional lability, but there can be (and usually is!) a biochemical reason.
The Kryptopyrrole urine test checks for elevated pyrroles, these are compounds that can drain vitamin B6 and zinc. When these are out of balance, it can negatively affect mood, emotions, mental health and even digestion.
We offer a simple urine test that can reveal whether a pyrrole imbalance is part of your health puzzle, giving you a clear, targeted path forward.
Kryptopyrrole is a name given to a pyrrole-zinc-vitamin B6 complex that can be excreted in the urine of affected individuals. Kryptopyrroluria can result in zinc and vitamin B6 deficiency and this leads to complex mental health issues and has been indicated in eating disoprders, addictions, depression and anxiety.
A high incidence of increased levels of kryptopyrroles have been demonstrated in:
– Autism spectrum conditions
– AD(H)D
– Bipolar disorder
– Schizophrenia
– Alcoholism
– Depression
– Anxiety
This test requires one urine sample; mid-stream.
This test requires one urine sample; mid-stream, random urine sample (test kit contains an ascorbic acid preservative to protect sample). Protect the sample from light.
If a sample cannot be processed
In rare cases, a laboratory sample may be unsuitable for analysis. This can happen due to delays in transit, incorrect sample collection, missing or incorrect paperwork, or labelling issues.
Where a test needs to be repeated for these reasons, a £25 retest fee may apply to cover laboratory processing and administration costs.
Please follow the sample collection, labelling, paperwork and posting instructions included with your test kit carefully to avoid any additional charges.
If a sample cannot be processed due to a fault with the test kit or a laboratory error, no retest fee will apply. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
