As a nutritionist, my clients tend to be pretty interested in food. Especially healthy food and how it can help us to regain health and stay well. When clients come for help with weight loss, the problem is rarely that they don’t know what they should be eating. Sometimes people are doing everything right with their diet and exercise routine but still fail to make progress.
Over the years it has become clear that external and internal factors influence our weight loss journey way more than we think. Stress, hormones, sleep disruption, nutrient deficiencies can all influence both what we choose to eat and how our bodies handle it. It’s frustrating to see people berating themselves for a lack of willpower when their biochemistry is actually working against them. There are different factors that can make weight loss tricky. My job is to identify which factors are affecting my client and then develop a nutritional programme to help them move forward. I call this a bespoke body reset and I’m hoping to bring this with some added extras to more people very soon! Watch this space.
In the meantime, if you’re currently dieting and find you are going to bed hungry, this could be disrupting your sleep. Sleep loss can give you a bigger appetite the next day as well as encouraging fat to accumulate around the mid-section. Eat a little something before bed, sleep better and burn more fat the next day.
Soon we will be offering some extra bonuses with our bespoke body reset programme. If you want to be the first in line to hear about them drop your name and email address below.
