Are you still counting calories?

Are you still counting calories? The calories in minus calories burned = weight loss theory is not relevant when your metabolism isn’t firing well, your blood glucose is on a rollercoaster or your cortisol levels are on the rise.

There are a number of factors that influence weight loss and it’s important to identify what is happening with you before cutting calories further still and increasing your exercise level. In some instances doing one or both of these can make weight loss harder. If the calories in/calories out method works for you then keep going but if it doesn’t it’s time to do some deeper work on your metabolism.

First, you need to unlearn bad habits. If you avoid eating avocado, butter, nuts, peanut butter, eggs, full-fat yoghurt and meat because of the fat or calories content. I urge you to do this. Fats help us feel satisfied and control our appetite. They slow down blood sugar release helping us feel fuller for longer and then avoid the dips that can lead to food cravings or even uncontrolled eating.

Soon we will be offering some extra bonuses with our bespoke body reset programme. If you want to be the first in line to hear about them drop your name and email address below.
